Our commitment to privacy
The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation cares deeply about the privacy of our donors, friends, volunteers, patients, and their families. We do not rent, sell or exchange our information with any outside company or organization. However, Honor and Memorial names are published annually in our Caring Hand newsletter. We may use outside companies to process our credit card donations or prepare our mailings. These companies sign a confidentiality agreement to not disclose this information to any third parties, or to use this information for their own purpose.
The information we collect
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the PBTF website. In order to process a credit card donation, we will ask for this information. We use industry-standard encryption technologies. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Our site does not collect identifiable information or email addresses. Any information you choose to share with us, including name, address, email address or credit card number, will not be shared. We only use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to improve our communication to you. We may have links to other sites. These sites have their own privacy policies, which we urge you to review before providing any information to them.
Refunds of donations
A monetary gift to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation is considered a tax deduction as allowed by law. Since this donation is not in exchange for goods or services, there is no basis for a refund. If an exception is made for one individual, it could disqualify the tax deductibility of all donations. Therefore, the PBTF does not give refunds for monetary donations.
