We ride to cure the kids!
Welcome to My Ride Page!
My sidecar rig and I are ready once again to participate in this year’s Baltimore-Washington Ride for Kids event on September 14 at Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City, Maryland. With your help it’s going to be our best event ever.
I'm honored to be one of the volunteers who helps host this event each year as well as personally being a VIP Escort responsible for giving rides to the Star kids as well as their siblings and parents. It is truly a life altering investment of time and energy to be involved like this each year; I invite you to witness this firsthand by joining me there.
But I know not everyone can make the time to do that so when I meet others that rides motorcycles and they say they can't attend I just let them know they can help find a cure in others ways.
So I ask them to give me their money so I can take it to the ride just as I am doing here now, with you. I also raise money organizing what I call ride to eats where friends and customers pay to join me on a ride where we’ll end up at a favorite restaurant or online auctions of leftover parts taken from bikes traded in at my dealership or my own or customers donated riding gear that we’ll sell on eBay. I even get to sell the occasional donated project bike or sometimes a very nice bike I was able to convince a customer to donate.
I also ask business people I know and sometimes people I've just met to make a donation so that we will find a cure for this terrible disease. I want everyone to know how important this is. So please consider making a donation right now, It will be used the way you’d want it to be. Any amount is accepted but the larger it is the faster we can fund the research that will find better treatments and eventually find that cure.
Finally, I'm especially thankful that it is not my own child who needs treatment or a cure from this terrible disease that I am raising money for; I got involved close to 20 years ago because I met the founders of the Ride for Kids® and the PBTF and they invited, convinced and charmed me into helping them help these kids. So please help me exceed my fundraising goal to find a cure and honor the mission Mike and Diane Traynor began, a mission that we must finish.
You can donate online -- it's safe, secure and easy.
