Stick It To Brain Tumors
In the last twelve years, we have raised over $235,000 for brain cancer research. These donations have gone to Boston Children’s Hospital (first two years), the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and Johns Hopkins, but it hasn’t been enough. Children are still dying from this horrible disease. Brain cancer is not often talked about and does not get the funding that is desperately needed. Brain tumor/cancer research is one of the most under-funded areas of cancer research in this country.
Everyday parents receive the devastating news that their child has a brain cancer. We know first-hand what a vile disease brain cancer is and are fighting to find better treatment options of this life threatening disease. Prognosis for surviving this cancer has not improved as with other cancers, and the effects of treatment are devastating. We will not let our son become another statistic, but we need your support; we can’t win this battle alone!
Our fundraising culminates with our 13th Annual Stick It to Brain Tumors Women’s Ice Hockey Benefit Tournament, March 22-25, 2018 at Union College’s Messa Rink. Stop by for entertaining hockey, a great raffle and silent auction and help support our worthwhile cause!
All money raised is donated to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF) and Johns Hopkins Division of Neuropathology. Both are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations dedicated to search for the cause, improve treatment options and find a cure for childhood brain tumors; Johns Hopkins is doing research on the type of tumor my son has.
Your donation to Johns Hopkins and the PBTF makes a difference!
